Surveillance

Most, though not all investigations, require some type of surveillance. This can take two forms.

The first is direct physical surveillance. This involves having an investigator physically in the area to capture video and collect other relevant evidence. This type of surveillance has gotten increasingly difficult over the last few years, requiring more elaborate setups in order to explain the investigators presence in the area.  For some cases, such as cheating spouses and child abuse, it is still the most common method.

The other type of surveillance is electronic. This involves placing covert video in relevant areas and observing and recording from a remote location.
This can be done indoors or outdoors, although an indoor setup requires permission from a resident of the home. This method is most commonly used in insurance fraud cases.
Please note that this method will still require physical surveillance should the subject leave the area.

Our investigators are well trained in using both methods, either separately or simultaneously.

Research

From property records to voter registration, public records can provide a goldmine of information. These records can add a critical measure of success to any background investigation. Our agents are trained to thoroughly research these records for you. If you like, we can teach you to do this yourself. Courthouses can be friendly places if you simply know how the system works and get to know the people who administer the various departments. Contact us to learn more.

Criminal Investigations

Walton Investigations will investigate criminal matters when requested by the client. We do not do forensic work. We will interview witnesses and work with law enforcement in order to close a case. Law enforcement will have ultimate jurisdiction in all criminal cases. We will also investigate matters such as extortion, employee theft, embezzlement, assault, B&E and most other criminal matters.
